Akkurat

Ilya Ruderman: Akkurat is a typeface designed by the Swill studio Lineto. It was incredibly popular in the 2010s. In Russia, people were looking at it saying, ‘Will Akkurat ever get a Cyrillic version? ’ But the guys from Lineto are famous for their deliberation and caution. First they approached one of our friends and colleagues, took their time to consider what he suggested, and eventually decided that they were not satisfied with the result. Then, after a pause, they contacted us and — without even looking at what had already been done — we designed a typeface from scratch, and the story ended the best way possible. That was our first project with Lineto.
